Life’s Vines

“Oh how wonderful it is to have our paths intertwined,

Like the growing tangles of little vines,

Our lives twist and turn and tangle,

So ever are we destine to cross paths at every turning angle,

I look forward to our crossings,

Though when our paths are parting,

I see more clearly everything I’m missing,

From humor and happiness we share, to the secrets and sorrows we are always confiding,

Tangled are our lives for we share a bond deeper than the pettiness of those around us,

Not broken by the cold hand of death nor a society that is grinding us to mere dust.

Apart we are lonesome,

And never sure of what’s to come,

Worry not the life’s plagues that rattle the mind,

For our paths are forever intertwined.”

(I wrote this a couple of years ago about parting friends, enjoy.)

After practicing on previous trips, for the first time Andie got up wakeboarding this last weekend at Havasu! Check out the video. Good Job Babe!

Disqus Comments

Nice I figured out how to integrate the comments into the theme. The theme already had all the code in it for Disqus. Once I figured out that all the spots where my username for Disqus should be had -

(text:Disqus Shortname)

- instead, I then found a super easy way to integrate it. I just searched for “text:Disqus Shortname” and found this line -

<meta name=”text:Disqus Shortname” content=”“/>

- which is basically where you identify the variable text:Disqus Shortname. So I made it -

<meta name=”text:Disqus Shortname” content=”sperovita”/>

- and POOF! Integrated comments, looks nice too.

Check your code for similar built ins for Disqus if you want your comments to be more inegrated and look nicer than the simple text. If you find it just reinstall your theme and fill in the variable with your Disqus username. Though copy all of your custom html code to a text file first in case it doesn’t work the way you want it. Good Luck : )

Lol, my first post is a dorky one of course.

My Andie and I under the Eiffel Tower, so cliche, lol, but it’s a good pic of us.

Judge not a person by the last moment you were together, but by the whole you’ve known them.
